Touching only one of the glasses
I got this next puzzle sent to me by a colleague, and it took me a long time to figure it out.
The challenge itself is the following: you must empty every other glass – but you can only touch one of the glasses at a time. Below we can see the picture.

Answer: you take the second glass from the left and pour it into the fifth glass. That way, we have the following pattern of glasses: full, empty, full, empty, full, empty – in other words, every other glass will be empty.
Bonus challenge
Okay, we’re going another round now that we’ve warmed up. This time, a math problem will be shown below.
Karen has four daughters. And every daughter has a brother. How many children does Karen have in total?
